CHQ Dogs
CHQ Dogs stands for Customized, Humane, Quality training and behavior consultation services. Its mission is to provide customized reward based training support to dogs and their guardians through the application of modern, humane and science based learning principles(including LIMA).
Represented by a Certified Professional Dog Trainer: Carly Davis, CHQ Dogs is dedicated to quality. This is improved regularly through life long learning, small group classes, adapting, and networking with animal professionals in Chautauqua County (and beyond).
*Often mispronounced "Chautauqua Dogs", a goal of CHQ Dogs and Chautauqua Institution is "the exploration of the best in human values and the enrichment of life" (with dogs!)

Photo above (credits mentor Michelle) shows Karoo in the early stages of building her TFR or "Trained Final Response" at a single protocol block. We are working towards the goal of human remains detection dog with North Western Pennsylvania Search And Rescue.
If you have love of the outdoors, dogs, and interest in helping people find lost loved ones check out NWPAK9SAR. There are also volunteer opportunities for remote support and auxiliary activities. They are kind, well organized and train frequently with supportive teams held to a high criteria including IPWDA standards.
