2026 Pup-dates
Karoo's Search and Rescue training continues to be a work in progress. June provided amazing learning opportunities with IPWDA instructor, Matt Zarella and NWPAK9SAR.
Team Karoo's Search learns a different clicker concept in a "crime scene" search scenario.
AGILITY
Karoo enjoyed Agility Foundations at Countryside in Erie!
We've signed up for another 8 Week Course and look forward to learning more with awesome instructor Karann :)
Progress on Goals for 2026

Team Karoo attempted a Land Cadaver Test in June. The evaluator advised continued training and to possibly test again later in the year. Practice continues with lots of negatives and known hides.

Cooperative care status: We've decided a hip flop on the bed is our best set-up for nail trims. The dogs are comfortable and its easier on the handler. We like to use a checker-print cloth to indicate nail salon status!

Training philosophies: Over the past few years, we've met a variety of trainers that train with different tools for a variety of reasons. Hardware neutral mentality is prefered over an "us vs them" divisiveness.
