Welcome to CHQDogs! To ensure a productive and stress-free first session at the Canine Cabin (128 East Chautauqua St, Mayville, NY 14757), please review these arrival instructions and preparation tips.

Driving Directions
From Mayville's 🚦 Light:
Drive downhill on E Chautauqua Street. Just past Mayville Cemetery and Honeysette Rd, look for the Davis warehouse on the left. Missed it? If you reach Great Tree B&B, turn around at the A-Way storage facility driveway.
From Hartfield / Crosby's:
Pass Great Tree B&B and reduce speed. Turn right just before the Davis Exterior Contracting warehouse. Missed it? If you pass Honeysette Rd, you have gone too far and can turn around in the cemetery.
Parking & Entry:
Turn into the Davis warehouse lot and drive to the back of the building. It may feel like you are driving onto the unpaved trail path; look for the CHQDogs sign.
Parking: Park in the designated space between the warehouse and the cabin. Pull (or back) directly up to the fence.

Mirrors: Utilize the mirrors placed around the parking area to see around building corners for oncoming trail users.
The Door: Use the entry door facing the fence. Note that the porch side is blocked by fencing and is not the entrance.
🐕 Session Preparation:
Human Comfort:
The cabin does not have a restroom. Please plan a stop at a nearby facility 🚽 en route for pre-session relief. (Suggestions: Mayville Lakeside Park, Tim Hortons or Crosby's).
Dress in Layers:
The cabin uses small climate control units. Dress as if preparing for the outdoors (including potential ticks/mosquitoes), as training may move to the trail. Non-chemical repellents are available on-site if needed.
Gear:
Please use a 6' fixed-length leash (no retractable leashes). A flat/martingale collar or harness with ID tags is recommended.
Potty Breaks:
Dogs may potty around the cabin. A waste bin with 💩 stickers is located next to the entry door.
Give Space:
If other students are leaving or hikers are on the trail, please provide them with plenty of distance.
Food & Treats:
Skip a portion of your dog’s nearest pre-session meal so they arrive motivated.
Bring:
Your dog’s meal, favorite toys, and several SMALL high-value treats as well as any gear you've tried.
Sensitivities:
Please disclose any food sensitivities or allergies, as additional treats are kept on-site.
